No, you say, mostly to comfort yourself.
But the cloud grows thicker, blotting out any light from above.
NO, you say again, raising your voice. An insect flies from the swarm and hits you in the head. It falls to the ground, dead.
GO AWAY, you shout into the dark sky. The cloud is unfazed.

WHAT DID THEY DO.
You consider this, unsure.

You stand there, silent, as the insects fly over your head. The buzzing is awfully loud, and your head starts to throb.
